Welcome
The WILMETTE WATER SAFETY PATROL ASSOCIATION (WWSPA) exists to provide funding and operational patrol vessels and other assets to the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary in its missions supporting the boating public as well as the United States Coast Guard.
About
More than twenty years ago, John Howard Scott set aside a portion of his estate to support boating safety in and around the United States Coast Guard Station - Wilmette Harbor located in Wilmette, IL. Although John's generosity has extended to multiple vessels having been donated over time, the very first donated vessel, a purpose-built work boat capable of breaking up to 4" of ice remains in Coast Guard Auxiliary service today. This particular patrol vessel (pictured above) aptly named "the John Howard Scott", most often referred by its Coast Guard call sign "251067" or just "067" is in constant need of maintenance and upgrades.
DONATE
WWSPA and its missions are funded almost entirely from donations. Suggestions for fundraising opportunities and donations are always welcome and appreciated. WWSPA is a licensed 501c3 organization that looks forward to your help.
